The Special Education Wing Structure
Specialized Therapeutic Focus
The wing operates with a high teacher-to-student ratio to ensure that the “milestone-based” approach is strictly followed. The curriculum in this wing is not purely academic; it is therapeutic. Before a child is expected to solve a math problem, they are taught the “learning to learn” skills:

Joint Attention Stations
Using high-interest visual stimuli (bubbles, wind-up toys, or digital screens) to encourage students to shift their gaze between an object and the therapist.

Instructional Control Sessions
Focused environments where command following is practiced through play, physical activities, and routine-based tasks to build "listening endurance."

Sensory Regulation Zones
Dedicated areas where students can decompress, ensuring they are in the "Green Zone" (ready to learn) before starting their sessions.
Transitioning to the Mainstream
The Special Education Wing is not a permanent destination, but a “Launchpad.” The department uses a Graduated Inclusion Model:
| Phase | Setting | Goal |
|---|---|---|
| Intensive | Special Ed Wing | Master Joint Attention & Command Following. |
| Social Bridge | Shared Spaces | Participation in assembly, lunch, and play with mainstream peers. |
| Partial Inclusion | Mainstream Class | Attending specific subjects (e.g., Art or PE) with a shadow teacher. |
| Full Inclusion | Mainstream Class | Full-day participation with periodic monitoring from the Special Ed team. |
Weekend Progams
Special weekend activities are designed to extend learning beyond the classroom. These programs offer creative engagement in arts, reading, and interactive projects tailored for different age groups.
STEM Activities
Fun learning games, LEGO builds, and science experiments
Creative Arts
Exploring painting, creative play, and storytelling.
Reading Circles
Group reading sessions that encourage a love for books.
